It is a heartwarming rad if you can get hold of a copy. Since I read and took notes from my pastor’s copy in the early 1990s I have had a new perspective on the communion/eucharist – very helpful.

In fact, I think I have always just thought of it as something between myself and God; never between me and the rest of the participants. The fact is, Christ gave it as an ordinance in front of his disciples, as a group. Even at its first use, the Lord’s Supper was for community.

I three weeks to get that through my head before the next communion service at my church. I look forward to the change of heart!
