I am sorry that I missed this. October 28th was Global Pink Hijab Day. This is the mission from their website, “Pink Hijab Day is intended to shatter stereotypes of Muslim women, as well as raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. All over the world, Muslims participated by wearing pink hijabs, pink ribbons, and donating to breast cancer foundations.”
As one whose mother died of breast cancer at age 36 I am encouraged to see others raising awareness. I wrote briefly about her on my wife’s blog on the 15th anniversary of her death.
